How much does ClassHero cost?
Individual teachers pay HK$30/month or HK$248/year. The school plan is HK$3,880/year for 40 teachers, plus HK$88/year for each extra teacher. Every subscription starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card needed. The earlier you upgrade during your trial, the less you pay (up to 50% off, monthly and yearly plans only), and every August–September the individual yearly plan and the school plan get an early-bird 20% off the first year. The Lifetime founder price has no further discount.
Do students need their own accounts?
No. Accounts are teacher accounts. The teacher or school admin signs in and manages the whole class's seating chart, points and game progress, so students never need to register or sign in.
How is student data handled? Is it kept private?
The student data you enter can only be viewed by you (the teacher) or your school's account administrator. We never sell student or teacher data to anyone, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Yes. Just sign in with the same account on each computer. Each account is for one teacher only, though, so you can't share your account, password or sign-in link with other teachers.
How does the school plan work?
The school plan is HK$3,880/year and covers 40 teachers (including the school admin). Extra teachers are HK$88/year each, prorated if added mid-term. The school plan is limited to teachers on the same school email domain; if you need an exception, please contact us.
How does the free trial work? Do I need a credit card?
Every new subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is needed: try every feature, then decide whether to subscribe. Upgrading during your trial: 50% off on days 1–3, 30% off on days 4–7, 15% off on days 8–14. This applies to the first 3 months of the monthly plan or the first year of the yearly plan. The Lifetime founder price of HK$988 has no further discount. Early bird every August–September: 20% off the first year of the yearly plan and the school plan. Discounts cannot be combined.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel whenever you like. Your plan won't renew after you cancel, but you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Can I get a refund after cancelling?
Ask within 7 days of your first charge and you'll get a full refund, no reason needed. After 7 days we don't refund that period's fee. However, if you were charged in error, charged twice, or the service didn't work as described, the 7-day limit doesn't apply and you'll still get a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details.
How long does a refund take?
Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take a further 5 to 10 business days to show the money in your account. Refunds always go back to the original payment method.
How do I get in touch if something goes wrong?
